Nickel - Net Worth Analysis
This page is just a simple dumping ground for information regarding a conversation started over at FiveCentNickel regarding the U.S. Net Worth trends. I feel bad not having this available right away, but my access has been limited by a pretty busy schedule.
When I first read his post, I just quickly threw together some numbers in a spreadsheet that matched the values in the statistics provided. I KNOW that these are just probable values and I’m sure there’s a large variance in possible values here. I just tossed them in to see what conclusions I could draw, if any. I noticed the increasing trend of negative number of net worths in my example, so tossed that out as something to consider.
Notice the 2020 prediction if the trend continues. I seriously doubt it will get like that, but I created the column to emphasize the point that if things continue, we could end up with a 0% scenario when comparing median to mean.
